Review: Each film is done, the people behind trying to
do the best film they can do.
Except when it comes to the last / "Part
1" of the last chapter of a
movie set. These films are essentially act as a
support, to establish the facts of
the last chapter. There is a lot of
attention to every single parameter in the current movie would be the following, which hit practice in the process of film quality.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 astride same disadvantage of being an accessory. Add the fact that the fire was a great movie in every sense, and a decline in the quality of Mockingjay Part 1 was more or less guaranteed to add. But the film manages to emerge to challenge our moderate expectations as a thin film.
The events of the film takes place in a short period from the end of fire. District 12 has been reduced to rubble. Katniss and his cronies live with other rebels and refugees in District 13. Katniss agreement with the face of the revolution and become the Mockingjay, but not before they put everyone through their problems of guy.
This is the first film without Hunger Games, which helps to distinguish it from what has gone before. Instead, the entire film focuses on the Stoke of the revolution, rebellion against the Capitol and oppression, Katniss forming a hero and symbol of hope in the eyes of the inhabitants of all the remaining 11 districts.
Although this is an interesting approach, there are moments where the film starts to look up a public relations exercise by Katniss. After all a hospital full of innocent civilians is controlled by the Capitol Katniss wondered, looking at the camera and tell people what they feel. It is in these moments that the film is at its weakest point, appearing shallow and too difficult effort to find a real emotion, and finally research affects more manipulative.
It is also too long, a film winds but the length 2:00 allows the shortest of the franchise this easy day film. The problem lies in the fact that the creative team behind the film tried to broaden the base, to describe the greatest number of opportunities for the next movie plot. In return, they do not tell much of a story to this point, instead of the tense triangle between Katniss-Peeta-Gale front and center.
While the film is a frustrating sometimes seem, there is an equally fascinating for others. The sequences linked to the insurgency in the districts are well designed. The film manages to shake enough voltage periodically so that you are sitting in their chairs. Aided by a larger budget, explosions in the film are not only larger and more numerous, but they seem more authentic than the previous films.
Something I mockingjay Part 1 is better than its predecessors, is that his policy is more central and urgent. The brutality and scale of atrocities against civilians is higher, raising the stakes intrinsically. Have a field opposite the Capitol is much more interesting and against-movements. It is these sequences is located in the center of the film. These parts of the film that something in you that makes you root to give the rebels.
The Hunger Games films are not really the best performances of the career of Jennifer Lawrence, and remains trends. An actress with a fantastic way his interpretation of Katniss, the awkward hero for whom the most competent people who accept his life (such as Harry Potter and Frodo) gift has always been a bit random. She looks vulnerable and overwhelmed properly when needed, but it is poorly overwhelmed even in areas where it should appear bright. He manages to preserve the innocence of his character, but as the heart of the insurgency, which seems out of his depth at a time.
Julianne Moore as the new president of District 13, is the embodiment of peace and tranquility, while maintaining a good screen presence. Phillip Seymour Hoffman, whose last appearance in a movie in Mockingjay Part 2 would be just as charming as ever as the mastermind behind the uprising. Liam Hemsworth gets a meaty role this time and manages to do something. Josh Hutcherson is thinner paper this time and manages to make the best of it. Donald Sutherland as President Snow is so scary and threatening than ever. Other actors, including Natalie Dormer as "director", are more effective in those parts.
Director Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games franchise heights on commission (qualitative) increased catch fire, the director of the last two films. You can tell he's an intelligent man, to make optimal use of the limitations that come with making a film to last and ensures that there is a fall from grace for the franchise. He handles his actors too, and gives Katniss characters that are not important at this time. Instead of aiming at the stars, he knows how to temper public expectations and the film ends with a cliffhanger that you excited for the final film just left next year. Special mention cinematography Jo Willems, so that the people of Panem beautiful than ever.
