Review: They say satire is better with Shyam Benegal and although many films have hit the tent in the space of satire (Phas Gaye Re Obama read, Peepli Live Jolly LLB, Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola etc.) but have little worked. Usually an intriguing concept executed by apologizing leads to a bad movie.

Ekkees Topon Ki Salmaani partially falls into the latter type, because despite a cracker of a concept for a thoughtful film satire is far from perfect and lacks only because the banal dialogue and production.
Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami begins with a scene that brings an element of excitement in the story. Two men Subhash Joshi (Divyendu Sharma) and Shekhar Joshi (Manu Rishi) nailed a bag that looks like a corpse of a train. As the film goes back to a flashback, the audience guessing game of what these two might just have fallen into the sea.

There are some things that work for Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami. First is a wonderful character and what follows is the question that lingers in the back of the minds of the audience as the story progresses.

The story is that of an employee BMC Purushottam Narayan Joshi (Anupam Kher) who would never be able to get everything he wanted in life - respect - and the film sees his two son Subhash (Divyendu Sharma ) and Shekhar (Manu Rishi) has proposed to his father some respect, even posthumously.

He steeped in history is a sub-plot of a corrupt chief minister, bringing in the element of satire, which makes for some hilarious scenes.

Each of the characters are independent and have a well-plotted graph. This is a rare film that does justice to the talent of Neha Dhupia's role Jaya Prabha play softly. Both Divyendu and Manu Rishi is too big. No one can almost say laudable home machine talent Anupam Kher. He literally his character, which is carefully recorded sounds a breeze.

But what actions to the film script defect to another. Writer Rahil Qaazi disappoint you courtesy of a scenario loosely. The first half, although fun, is entirely used to the premise that the boys began to build their adventure. The result is a slightly oblong pre-session interval. The second half began at a pace dictated by the range of freezing and smart point. But again, the speed slides at the end because of the emotional connection attempt. The last moments get high on melodrama which is quite unusual.

To sum up, Ekkees Topon Ki Salaami may have been a flawless film he had inflicted on the strong and intelligent execution. However, the film is still worth seeing.
