Review:  It is quite difficult to make an original horror film success. People walk in a theater almost demanding to be afraid, because their birthright. At the same time, have a compulsive need to put a brave face and tease a horror film because of fear for sissies.

But even as a freak of nature, can not be accepted a horror movie and loved by the public, you're just stack the odds against you making a remake / prequel / sequel / spin-off to it.

The conspiracy would not be the most beloved horror movie at least the last ten years. Any film that is remotely related to what you have on the huge task of overcoming the inevitable comparisons meet the crush. Annabelle is supposed to be a kind of quasi-prequel / spin-off to be. The aim is to tell the story of the origin of the plot scary doll.

The path is well prepared and used by director James Wan (; also an insidious producer Annabelle, conspiracy, Insidious Chapter 2) is pressed. It builds up slowly, taking time to use the public down, to let their guard before triggering thousands horror movie clichés. Creaking doors open and close by itself specifies that the subway doors. Kettles so strong that dogs can hear. Flashing winds at a speed of hurricanes radios become static.

The biggest problem is that the doll Annabelle story is not so much to all the interesting part. There is no great mystery to solve, no major motivations behind the evil actions and no characters to really care. You must not be less disturbed as the lead actress everything is swallowed by the demon that haunts her.

Despite us not memorable characters, director John R. Leonetti manages to build some tension. By keeping the length of a thin 1.5 hours, the movie can never be bored or appears track. And to be honest with him, he manages some scars that have not been generously borrowed the best films of the last magic.

But Gauberman writer and deserves to take the most credit for not using an exorcism in the finals to resolve the conflict. Frankly, it requires superhuman resist relying on the most cliché of clichés skills, but manage to keep their distance from him. Also open surprise ending that is so common now that resist a surprise. Instead, Annabelle ends where the conspiracy.

Like most horror films, performances are mediocre and inconsistent at best. Annabelle Wallis Mia, attractive looks and performs reasonably well. But I wish I could say the same of others. Ward Horton, Alfre Woodard and Tony Amendola are wooden at best confusing and at worst. The dialogues sound like they were written by someone who has never worked before with a real person. The background music is strong enough to bleed your ears.

Ultimately, Annabelle turns out to be better than we expected. It moves perfectly adequate and ends before you can say "Boo!". Compared with magic and will probably leave disappointed. Compared to last Deliver Us from Evil, and most likely jump off if you beat a demon. So, go ahead, if you are looking for some decent panic.
