Review; In our opinion Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, a journalist friend traveling with me said it would be very boring if Dharma Productions tried to play with your favorite romance Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenga. I assured him that there was no way on earth Karan Johar would play the classic 1995.

Oh, how wrong I was! He was playing often celebrated cinema as one of the best love stories had hit in Indian cinema. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya is exactly the same ground as DDLJ. Except Alia not to Europe but in Delhi, Varun and his return to Ambala follows. Well no ke Khet (mustard fields) SARSO and no exotic places but retained almost all other elements.
So we have a process of succession, conversations between parents and children Angry girl, a leading stretching arms in style proposals brand SRK love ... and even at the beginning of the scene between the pair of conductors after a night of drink agitated. And yes, if the 'Apni Jeele Zindegi'!
But hey! I was not offended. Neither was my journalist friend who was essential before the film. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya can be a rehash, but the corners are very nice.

Set in contemporary India, where the details of a girl facebook, HSKD works mainly as a result of the two protagonists. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan perhaps not quite the SRK and Kajol in intensity, but have a chemistry that is remarkable. More growth as an actress and has been tested by his previous films this year. Varun meanwhile brings a spontaneity which hardly think Govinda.

The writer did outline some scenes and quite amusing characters. The hero has friends that are just as entertaining if not more. And of course, the patriarch of the family of the girl is played by an impressive Ashutosh Rana, who finally gets a film of A-list after year. He's an actor who sadly underutilized by Bollywood. It does well when he steps into the shoes of Amrish Puri.

The first half was a pleasure trip. The second half of the novel takes advance, while managing to keep the fun. However, in doing that history miserably glide to a point where the director seems to have simply decided to end his film because he could not move forward in a creative way. The end is so abrupt as might be something. Laughing, not the emotions that create connected to DDLJ is maintained. Too many chains are left untied. Unordered!

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya is another example why some films are called great and the rest are just average. A DDLJ is almost impossible to do. No root for the main players HSKD as you did with SRK and Kajol. However, this is a nice watch once safely. As any honest celebration of our wispy mind.
