Review: Halfway through the film, there is a conversation between two characters discuss the impact of Mastram. Youth wonder how these young, the old adage will hinder "liye hai toh Just Itihas". While the scene is meant to bring some laughter, means a lot. Mastram is probably nothing less than historic.

Generations have grown up since 1980 in a special soft-porn Mastram literature. However, nothing is known about its origin, where it began and most importantly - that started it all! The efforts of the Director to trace the origin of Mastram resulted in a zero. However, the phenomenon of Mastram was so compelling that he decided to weave a story to fit the life of this legendary writer.

Set in the 80s, Mastram traces the life of an aspiring writer Raghu Ram. Unhappy in his job at the bank had dreams and make a name as a writer. His novel, but never printed, and eventually it leads to write a piece of soft porn. Life changes overnight and Mastran born.

Because of its predefined assumptions story is very serious and without much table. The director chooses an ordinary life in a quiet city instead of something from nothing and extra-ordinary. This is where the film could down a flight of hearing.

But the director Akhilesh Jaiswal won praise for the treatment of the subject. The Hindi film industry is full of examples where filmmakers work with the spectacle of the skin and just unseemly to attract the public. Jaiwal could easily have done the same with his Mastram. That's the beauty of this "fictitious biopic.

A most beautifully shot film camera and offers full support for the vision of the director. The music is carefully chosen. Even a Yo Yo Honey Singh Rap extravagant falls directly in place! Writing dialogue is top notch, especially those in which Mastram to tell their stories.

Mastram is a brave attempt. And that's clap-worthy. It's a film that the value for aspiring full-length dive subjects who want to explore and pursue should offer after untold stories. And I say with dignity.
