Review: First, it is important to say that the Son of God. Adapted from a television miniseries in
tone and character is nothing like
Mel Gibson's Passion of Christ. Son of God does not have resolutely powerful and charismatic passion of the last days and the resurrection of the Christ representation.
As the story according to the Scriptures, the child Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph. Point (also known as the Magi) following the star of Bethlehem and visit the baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph. They realize that he is the son of God.
In his young adult years, Jesus Christ (Morgado) goes about his task of spreading the word with the apostles, gaining followers and spread the word of God.
Caiaphas (Schiller), the head of the Pharisees Jesus did not trust. A sequence of events ensures that the Pharisees realize that Jesus must be stopped. On the way, the film follows the Scriptures diligently. It has done wonders and sick and lame were healed. But what makes this cheesy, sacrifices to tell a little bland on the altar by the numbers, it is passion and a message that the viewer in the gut. This film does not have that unit.
The painting of James Caviezel Christ gave viewers the creeps. But Morgado, on whose shoulders rests the weight of the film, despite the, failure to correct reproduction and large enough Jesus watch. What is even more strange is that, given the number of films on the life of Christ, he does not give something unique. There is very little fervor in the story and Pilate (Hicks) is very low, as it is considered the "villain" of the film.
If you want very good films inspired by and see the life of Christ, there are many other options that you can go instead.
