Review:  Team Big Eyes Burton returns to form with screenwriters Larry Karaszewski, who worked on the (dare I say-M?) Masterpiece Ed Wood. Both films are a misunderstood artist, but the similarities end there. The new film tells the strange story, but true of Margaret Keane (Amy Adams), a divorced woman who arrives with his daughter in San Francisco at the end of 1950. It is a bit of a mystery - women simply did not just get up and leave their spouses at the time - but she is proud of her paintings. His work, in the first of his many portraits of his daughter, in the shape of cute bum, but sad that children with big dark eyes.

Margaret is a stable supplier Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz), a man of property and scenes "Sunday painter" of annoying street. What it lacks artistic spark more room for chatting and quackery. It can not work or Margaret exhibited in galleries, so it works for an agreement with photos Hungry jazz club. When Walter pleads with the club owner (Jon Polito), to happiness, while the press is watching. In the confusion, the paintings begin to sell and the next thing you know, Walter is taking credit for the work of Margaret.
They not only sell a few portraits of the "big eyes of abandoned children"; the paintings become a national sensation. Despite the work being ridiculed by critics of kitsch serious art, Walter, with the help of a columnist colleague (Danny Huston), was seen and admired by movie stars. It goes on television. The masses who can not afford a painting posters are therefore buy cheaply. Even Andy Warhol approved. Meanwhile, locked in a dark studio in his new googie style mansion, creating more slaves Margaret "Keanes'.
The slow burning eyes looks Margaret find the courage to face her husband, resulting in an interesting and fun judgment. Although it was founded 50 years ago, big eyes is a scary movie of the moment. Himself a figure of American culture kitsch edge - - more testimonies from victims of Bill Cosby hear many still refuse to take the allegations of a woman at face value. Online absurd CNN talking head Don Lemon questioning Tarshis Joan exposes the misconception that some people still have of the abuse of power. Margaret has her confidence and body slowly and methodically destroyed. Walter can trip into their schedule, knowing that he can rely on the argument of "place of women" as a reinforcement of a patriarchal system will be required. (A visit to a Roman Catholic priest says Margarita where you just do what you are told is one of the most difficult moments in the film.)

The environment and the politics of the time are what keeps intriguing big eyes, but as the vagabond tables, yes, the script is not exactly subtle. There are many scenes that we do not get a vision of both the thought processes of a character through an intelligent observation, we understand that the characters standing in a hallway and shout their internal conflicts with each other. You Shader support players, even the most entertaining maverick gallery (Jason Schwartzman), or an art critic for the posh (Terence Stamp) New York Times, there are really barking of a point of view and not slip gracefully in drama.
Common language of Tim Burton glances by moderation. It would be fantastic house and then there are the paintings themselves, which blend well with the iconography established Burton macabre joke. Part of the problem of the film, however, is that it is difficult to know whether to laugh or should celebrate the work of Margaret. Certainly, the care we took Margaret and Walter shape, but its character is represented as a figure representing a wide range of topics, without a real person. This film aims to be an oil painting, but is found in more than one, but quality mass production.

Review:  I'm happy. What I have so much time to be annoyed Mary Kom problems. I had a lot of arguments in the recent past on this Priyanka Chopra cast as Mary Kom is a casting disaster. Interestingly, it is that this film Priyanka, showing the usual mediocrity and makes it quite watchable saves!

My voice about Priyanka is projected on one side of the resonance deemed fit for many. Certainly not reject me Tom Cruise as Nelson Mandela. At least not if you do not look the part. I complained about Farhan Akhtar is discarded as Milkha Singh, he had managed not to look like a real Sikh wear page. The region and conditions always play a very important role in the life of a character role. A Milkha probably would not have happened in another country. Do not be faithful to the region, it is as good as it is not true to the story. Priyanka Chopra, despite his prosthetic nose and freckles, so much like a part of the northeast as the real Mary Kom is a part of Haryana. Manipur and certainly not in the story. Not in a way that could show you how to be a member of Manipur is the personality of Mary Kom.

But as I said, the film proved me wrong. Writer and director Omung Kumar Qadras drag on many other levels that lead away from the brilliant life Mary Kom reality. In such a dramatic life on the one hand are not necessarily driven melodrama scenario.

Mary Kom is easily one of the most inspiring athletes has seen the country. Not only because of the fact that they won won [Indeed many of them] titles. This is an athlete who not only won against external forces try to keep it down, is that the concept of motherhood, I stuck a woman physically defeated!

Although Qadras manages to score points with the right, almost good enough to evoke emotions, seems to your script to ensure internships own brands. But of course, money was always the center of the film. Like many people who have supported me, would not be commercially viable to make a film with an unknown actor who could have really looked the part. So what we have in the movie is a popular international use of facial products that are probably only interested in working with Mary Kom until he won the Olympic bronze medal, or even after they were!

In addition to the script, which is updated significantly in the second half, edit would almost knock. It is quite shocking, actually.

It is important that a biopic brings the legend to life with little or no motion freedom. The film Mary Kom does not do what it takes. However, the film still moves and inspires you enough. You root for Mary Kom as she enters the ring. But that's mostly because Priyanka Chopra brings the attack on character. No, this is not quite the biopic Mary Kom deserve. However, I invite you to see. For those looking to understand the best boxer champion, I just read your book!

Review:  The idea of Hollywood legend Grace Kelly (Kidman) married into European royalty like a fairy tale come true. As with most things that are too good to be true, but all is not well in the courtyard. There are whispers of intrigue, the shadows of suspicion and doubt mask. In short, the real problem seems torn with various undercurrents and sufficient forage apparently by an expanded story.
In the 60-some years later, she gave up her career, Grace has children and lives the life of a pampered princess. If she was not born into royalty itself, is facing various difficulties, amid the many changes of clothes, come to terms with the new life you have chosen. She has people to help him. There are a priest named Tucker (Langella) for advice and coaching issues of actual label. Alfred Hitchcock (Griffiths) even tries to bring her back to Hollywood.

The greatest crisis facing her husband manages relations with France. France threatens to Monaco with sanctions if certain payments. However, wetter, while spiffy in their dry suits, not serious enough to be played by Roth. Big plans, which are designed to bring a sense of excitement, do some scenes seem a superficial telenovela in European royalty and several family and petty political interests. While Kidman puts on his best shot, the other performances are a bit boring.

Visually, the film is beautiful, no doubt. But this can not hide the fact that there are barely enough substance to keep the viewer engaged. Led by Dahan, Grace looks like a mixture of a bleeding heart and head of Princess Diana and her people. Dahan had done good in La Vie En Rose in 2007, which was on the singer Edith Piaf. Here, a film that tries to portray such a life interesting, the result is pretty bland.

Review: Director McQueen has nothing new to offer that we are not aware of. But it is his portrait flawless Solomon Northup with scenes of brutal realism, dramatic dialogue, cartoonish villains and a plot that torture to which the slave sets her presentation.

The story is set in 1841, begins in Saratoga Springs, New York. Solomon Northup a well to free black violinist is seduced by traveling with fraudsters, "a dollar a day for their days in Washington and three dollars in the process." It's much more than he won in New York. He accepts his offer, but the road is drugged and kidnapped.
When he wakes up, he is in chains against the unjust accusations that it is in fact a fugitive slave plantation in Georgia. Their protests are treated with a cascade of noise. And when he realizes that his means fall into deaf ears and intelligence caused more physical and mental pain, we must be resigned to his fate.

Known as "Platt" in unscrupulous middle Solomon takes on a new life as a slave. While it is negotiated before the owners of the plantations, touching scenes captured insensitivity matter of routine.

The cast is great and makes you tense, subtle performance. Ejiofor as Solomon Northup gives some provocative and disturbing ideas in his soul. Modern and sober performance is very different unlike other characters.

Other players in the stream: some crossfire, others will revel in the power: Lupita Nyong'o as eager to please the slave Patsey, unlike Solomon does not know other than it condemned was born in the living; Alfre Woodard as Mr. Shaw, the cult of the slave who educates Patsey how to use her feminine charms to stay alive; Adepero Oduye as Eliza's mother separated from her children and Emily Ried storm.

Then there Benedict Cumberbatch as William Ford, good and decent plantation owner who sympathize with Platt, but is limited by social pressure; John Paul Dano as Tibeats "slave" in planting Ford has a personal interest Soloman chip; Michael Fassbender as Edwin Epps knows acethe slave switch. It is enough support from a woman just as fierce, Ms. Epps played by Sarah Paulson.

Unfortunately, co-producer Brad Pitt and Lower seems the only aberration in the narrative flowing soft. The appearance was ridiculous and absurd air, otherwise realistic story driven.

John Ridley's script captures amazingly Solomon twelve years in an episodic format. Assemblies extracts are well designed. The scenes are twisted and disturbing. In particular, the peeling of the skin has to bear Patsey agony, left squirming in his chair.

Which adds to the pathos is the tricky movie with long pauses and long silences. This, combined with the organic edition dark background score by Hans Zimmer and the number of slow jazz particular height oscillation haunting 'Roll Jordan Roll "that moves and joins the story.
